Life After Stephenie Meyer

After a much combing of the bookstore, I've finally found a better novel after Twilight. Don't get me wrong, I still love Edward, Bella, Jacob and the rest of the Cullens. As much as I hate to admit it, Twilight Saga are for teenagers (14-18yrs.), obviously because of the whole high school scenario. They'll always be in my hear though. "I'D BEEN WAITING for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar." -was the first sentence, intrigued I bought the book. Sookie Stackhouse Novels are written by Charlaine Harris, so far there's 8 books. She has a straight forward, just between you and me kind of style that's fun and easy to read. One minute she's making you laugh, the next she's sending chills along your spine, and the next she's got you wondering who done it. I've read the first book as usual finished in one sitting last night whilst the ocassional call of nature, I feel asleep at the breaking dawn. I'm gonna buy the whole box set because it's as good, if not even better. We can also visualize this book thru HBO's series True Blood, it's exactly as the book. Oddly this was published way before Twilight, this was published 2001 and Twilight's 2003, now I'm beginning to question, did Stephenie Meyer adapted the characters in Dead until Dark (1st book of Sookie Stackhouse Novel) somehow? As there was a lot of resemblance in characters, their traits, even the whole romance thing. Bill the vampire is equally as seductive and perfect as Edward although he's darker, as he ocassionally feeds on blood of humans. Bella and Sookie are both virgins and inconspicuous. The plot of course is different, there's the sex for one, not porn status but a love scene. The violence is somewhat Anne Rice in field but lighter and humorous.
