Review: Revelation (Blue Bloods 3) by Melissa de la Cruz

buy here:, b&n

Have you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York City’s wealthiest families? They’re powerful, they’re famous… they’re undead.

Schuyler Van Alen’s blood legacy has just been called into question—is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.

When an ancient place of power is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Schuyler is torn between love and passion, duty and freedom. And in the end, one vampire’s secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

This is where I stop calling them Vampires. I mean come on, they are really Angels. towards the ending I completely forgot that they are supposed to be blood suckers.

The story of this 3rd book begins when Charles Force successfully adopted Schuyler Van Alen, his niece. After Sky saves Mimi's from being condemned she still continued as her usual self - ungrateful hag. Then came the illicit love affair of Jack Force and Schuyler Van Alen, I was disturbed at first, Schuyler doesn't strike me as stupid or pathetic. So why'd she did it?! oh yeah because she love Jack, as if that would make everything ok. Schuyler's ignorance of the vampire laws and her ignorance to the history of her peers irritates me, she's supposed to have matured already, this is the 3rd book after all. What grave surprises does Ms. De la Cruz have for the 4th book, I'd love to see Sky kick Mimi's Dior butt.

So aside from the "tele-novela" love story and some lousy writing, I am immensely entertained. The Coven got whooped in Rio, Lawrence is dead, Oliver is hopelessly inlove, and Jack and Mimi are going ahead with their bonding. Sad, sad event for Schuyler. The shock that is Bliss Llewyn threw me off completely. And that was awesome. The questions are: Is Schuyler going to kick ass soon? or is that never going to happen? Will Allegra finally grace us with her presence on the 4th book? Is Bliss going to turn evil? (She reminds me so much of Sam Winchester) Will Mimi stay as bitchy and as materialistic as she is? etc... Book 4 here I come...
