With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss’s true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry; love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Schuyler has made her choice. She has forsaken Jack for Oliver, choosing human over vampire. But old loves die hard...And even coldhearted Mimi seems to suffer from the ties that bind.
THOUGHTS:The story was told with the main girls' points of view. Schuyler, Mimi and Bliss. Chapter One starts with Schuyler and Oliver running around the world for a year since Lawrence's death. The Concalve which I now call the "Bastards" was trying to pin the murder of his grandfather to her. So she didn't have much choice but to flee New York and stay somewhere but not more than 72 hours. Chapter two was Mimi's, our resident bitch. Volunteered to go with Kingsley and two other Venators in search of the missing Jordan only to find something else that she had bever expected. The there was Bliss or should I say Daughter of Lucifer? Hers was the most complicated story in this series. Her father is inside her? yes, possesing - throwing her into a dark void so he can do his evil deed. It's an outrage I know but that's Satan.
This is by far the best book in these Series. Jack and Mimi did not go thru with their bonding, Mimi fell inlove with Kingsley, Dylan is inside Bliss' (aside from other souls that are trapped), Forsyth Llewellyn is an a$&hole, Oliver is still the perfect friend, Oh and Allegra has finally graced us with her presence, etc. I can't really say much without giving a full on detail, so I'll leave you hanging. (sorry) But I'm telling you I had a new respect for Mimi Force, she's not as cold as she seems and her character match perfectly from her bitchiness. I even think that's she's the strongest character in this book. I felt her pain, her disppointment, her heartbreak when she lost two of the men that she truly loves. All the characters, the story and plot itself has evolved. No more fashion spread description of what they're wearing and no more life styles of the rich and famous article like pages, it's full on mystery, adventure and revelation of secrets. The ending was such a standing oblation, you'll be begging for more.
Call me cheesy but this is one of those rare moments when I wish that authors are gods/goddesses so they can write faster.
