Review: Flyte (Septimus Heap 2) by Angie Sage

BLURB:

where I got my copy: Barnes & Noble
where else can you buy: Amazon

It's been a year since septimus heap discovered his real family and true calling to be a wizard. As Apprentice to Extra Ordinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand, he is learning the fine arts of Conjurations, Charms, and other Magyk, while Jenna is adapting to life as the Princess and enjoying the freedom of the Castle.

But there is something sinister at work. Marcia is constantly trailed by a menacing Darke Shadow, and Septimus's brother Simon seems bent on a revenge no one understands. Why is the Darke Magyk still lingering?

THOUGHTS:
The magical adventure of the Heaps and Princess Jenna continues here. At the end of Book 1 it was revealed that Boy 412 is the real Septimus Heap not the wretched apprentice of Dom Daniel. As predicted Septimus Heap becomes Marcia Overstrand's apprentice. Assisting her of stuff needed for her ShadowSafe. I also wanted to smack the crap out of Simon Heap for pulling that silly stunt of kidnapping Jenna and taking her to the Bad Lands not to mention horrendously allowing himself to be Dom Daniel's (skeleton) apprentice. And what was wrong with the Heaps for not believing Septimus that dear ol brother really did kidnap Jenna. Bless Nicko for having faith in Septimus. So together they set sail to look for Jenna and at the same time keeping also a look out for the Flyte Charm while dodging witches, fire breathing dragons (a classical magical creature. I LOVE IT), blood thirsty werewolves, carnivorous trees, evil spirits, etc... It lives up to my expectations, a charming sophomore book. Addictive, entertaining and truly magical.
