Review: Clinique City Base Compact Foundation with SPF15

Oil-free formula glides on as a cream, then turns into a silky powder. Protects skin with SPF. Smooth, buildable coverage can be used as foundation or for touch-ups.

Skin Types: 1 - Very Dry to Dry, 2 - Dry Combination, 3- Oily

Formula: Stick or Cream
Coverage: Moderate to Full
Benefits: Moisturizing, Buildable coverage

I've been searching for a new foundation. For years I've been using Bare Essentials and then all of a sudden I started breaking out. I have sensitive oily skin that requires me to change and serach for new great product that will help me keep the zits at bay.

Before discovering Clinique's City Base, I tried two otehr brands but I wasn't satisfied with 3 things. Application, color and effectiveness. The first one requires me to use a brush for smoother application, the second one does not have the right color to match my skin tone and both of them just doesn't have the effect that I wanted. Clinique's City base is so easy to apply, it has a cream to powder formula that makes it so easy to apply, it is non-comdogenic and it feels super light and has that matte effect on my skin. The ivory bisque shade aslo match well with my skin tone, so it has that perfect smooth effect. The best part is it is light weight. No heavy oily feel that it promised. I only need to retouch once the whole day and on a good day no need to retouch at all.
